They may need a textbook, a computer, assistance with examination or tuition fees, or simply an opportunity to be seen, encouraged and supported.

北美中华文化基金会设立助学基金，是希望帮助经济困难学生继续完成学业， 获得更加公平的发展机会。

The North America Chinese Culture Foundation established the Education Support Fund to help students facing financial hardship continue their studies and gain fairer opportunities for personal and academic development.

For some families, purchasing a computer may be a serious financial burden. A student may have to repeatedly borrow textbooks, or miss an important training opportunity because the family cannot afford it.

然而，对学生而言，这些资源可能成为他们进入大学、获得奖学金、学习新技能， 以及改变人生道路的重要起点。

Yet these resources may become the starting point that helps a student enter college, earn a scholarship, develop new skills and change the direction of their life.
